Loved this game, even got my 4 year old playing a bit to critically think his cuts. Some levels leave you scratching your head then you come back and its so simple. Like most people have stated the ads are terrible. I could do without the free God powers or whatever. Just let me play for fun. I did get the game free, yes, but I would never recommend this to my friends now due to the ads. Id feel bad if they paid for it and then got those too. Update this please!

This game was great until the last update. Now there are pop-up adds every other screen; its out of control!!!

Like everyone else here I agree this game was, WAS so fun to play that is until nitro put in the pop up ads for every screen change so like me if you were used to playing it where if you made a mistake you just started over right away. well not anymore now you leave the game load the App Store and have to go back all because you hit a pop up ad by mistake They need to put in the work and fix their in-app purchases instead they ruined their game thus far I for one wont be playing til I see an update.

This was my sons favorite iPad game. Now with the unbelievably shameless advertising its a lesson about how greedy people ruin otherwise wonderful things. Shame on Nitrome. Hero to zero. App deleted.

From 5 stars I down rated it to 2 stars. Ever since their "daily power" special update, theyve bombarded the players with advertisements so bad, that it personally makes me turn off the game immediately. They arent just pop up advertisements, but video advertisements! And theres a timer until you can skip it. Good going Nitrome.

This was a five star game before the full screen ads took over the entire game. Expect full screen ads, that force a count down before you can close them, BEFORE EVERY LEVEL. EVEEERY LEEEVEL!!!! Just because you can do full size ads does not mean you should take it to such an extreme.

If you havent updated, DONT! Im still playing a five-star game, but it looks like the update kills some of the joy.

UPDATE: According to their Twitter feed, Nitrome added (constant, obtrusive) ads only for people who downloaded Icebreaker during the App of the Week promotion. It was Nitrome’s decision to allow their game to be offered for free, so they should not be punishing people who took advantage of THEIR choice! This is not how to build fans, Nitrome, and your action comes across as vindictive. I’ll make sure to avoid your games in the future! I was having fun with this game, but now ads pop up between levels and even inside levels when restarting. While playing three levels, I saw at least six ads. These make the game effectively unplayable. Until the developers decide to make a game instead of a platform for advertising, I recommend steering clear of this game.

So this puzzler was pretty cool once. Then the dunderhead developers decided it would be totally cool to throw crappy ads that basically ruin the game into it. Good luck with that, a-holes!

To be fair, I got this game when it was the free app of the week. At first, I loved it! It was very addictive and I enjoyed the in-game achievements. The OCD part of me likes completing every little thing. But then the advertisements came. In droves. I couldnt replay a level, much less go to another level, without a pop up. I understand Nitrome needs to make money, but this is borderline asinine. And there are some adverts you cant close immediately because theres a video that has to load first. I eventually just get frustrated and stop playing. Then theres iCloud, which I use to back up game progress. I had to reinstall iOS 8.0.2 to (hopefully) eliminate blue screens on my mini2. I checked to make sure Icebreaker was backed up before proceeding. Reinstalled everything and every other game restored from iCloud just fine, except this one. Sorry, but I shouldnt have to 100% complete Troll Marsh again because their app wont restore properly. In all, the game itself is terrific fun, but the barrage of advertisements and iCloud failure means I wont be playing it again anytime soon.

...but then they backed their stretch limo over it, pulled forward, and backed over it again. Roadkill is whats left over. Big, stinky carcass with maggots... You go to heck Nitrome! Go to heck and you cry! Also, to Apple, if you ever, ever ever, promote Nitrome again you can go to heck too.

The app has been ruined by ads, simple as that. Sometimes it even crashes.

I was overjoyed when I saw the update for free power ups. I got one free power up when I first went on the updated app and havent got one since. I havent had any problems with ads on the app.

I absolutely hate these ads period. Other games want .99$ to remove ads but no purchase does so with this game. I think it is a joke to frustrate all reading posts about ads. The joke is in my delete button!!

Dont download the update. The game will be ruined with more advertising than anyone should have to tolerate. Not only advertising but ads that you cant close until they decide you can close it. Dirty dirty. I loved this game until they made it unplayable.

Such a good game given away for app of the week. Now destroyed by so many ads. Really good gam play but for real dont give away something with IAP and the. AD the crap out of it. NOW With mandatory watch ads at some points.

The game itself is great, but the ads are so frequent and annoying, that it makes it almost unplayable. I quit when they started occurring in the middle of playing a level, forcing you to restart the level after waiting to close the ad, which is allowed by a 5 pixel "x" in the corner after 5-10 seconds

The game itself is well done. But the amount of advertising between levels or restarts is really bad. Nitrome has allowed agencies to put in videos now. Its just a chore to play this game. Being deleted.
